If I have an PIX Firewall with an WebSense Server to filter the URL access. How does the user authenticate? Does the user load they Explorer and connect directly to the URL and the PIX intercept the connection and send the user an login page in wich the user take they Name and Password or does the user need to connect to a special port and give they identification before they can connect to the final URL ?
Thanks

The user passes web traffic to your PIX, the PIX queries the Websense server, the Websense server then verifies which policy to apply to the user, then the user is either granted or denied...hope this helps.
