PIX failover interface ip address lost after reboot

Good day!

We have 2 PIX 7.04 configured in active/failover mode. There is failover interface for stateful failover and I set ip address on it by command

failover interface ip failover 192.168.1.1 255.2552.255.252 standby 192.168.1.2

it's OK and I see stateful information via show failover command.

But when PIX crash and reboot after rebootting there is no ip address on failover interface and so no stateful data is synchronized.

Why does it happen?

Thanks!

Hi,

If PIX (or other IOS-based devices crashed), it always had this kind of issue (missing all or partial config).

Sometimes it could be because of bug, or the nature of 'software crash' itself.

It could be a bug as well.

Rgds,

AK
