What kind of information? I've written a small perl script that runs through the log (from a syslog server) and sends me an email containing Top 10 lists of:
Probed Hosts
Probing Hosts
Probed Ports
ICMP Probers
ICMP Probees
I'd be more than happy to send it your way if it will help you out.
Our hourly log file is about 100Meg and it seems to handle fine on a Sun Ultra 5.
