I upgraded my 501 to 6.3(4) and PDM to 3.0(2). Now I cannot get the PDM to work. I am getting "exception: java.security.AccessControlException: access denied(java.util.PropertyPermission java.version read)." HELP!! Also when I telnet into the unit and write terminal at the end it reads "Cryptochecksum:00000000000000000000000000000000". Is this a related issue. What can I do to correct this?

Cool, thanks for your Feedback. With what version of J2SE did you experienced problems ?

Seems that your hostname or domain name changed and the ssh rsa key is not valid !

Do that to fix it:

ca zeroize rsa key

ca gen rsa key 1024

ca save all

hope that helps

Thanks for the info. The other error regarding "exception: java.security.AccessControlException: access denied(java.util.PropertyPermission java.version read)." is a problem with the latest release of J2SE. Uninstalled and loaded a older version. The problem is corrected.

J2SE 5.0 Update 2 is the version

I had to uninstall J2SE 5.0 Update 2 and re-install J2SE 5.0 Update 1 back for PDM to work again myself.

Robert,

The "Cryptochecksum:00000000000000000000000000000000" at the end of the configuration lets you know that something went wrong while saving the config... This is not a major issue, just re-enter the 'wr mem' command to have that corrected.

By the way, as you already found out, this is not related to the fact that you cannot access the PDM anymore.

HTH,

Federico Rodriguez
