hello friends
I am completely new in network security, i have to set the pix firewall for an organization, no one know about the interfaces ip and logins. i read the cisco document about password recovery but that need an interface address.. how can i recover password with out that.. plz help me.

you would need to perform the password recovery via network connectivity because you would need to upload the file to the pix and without network connectivity you would be able to upload the file.
is your internal network directly connected to the pix? if it is, then your pc default gateway is most probably the pix inside interface ip address.
what version of pix are you running now?
do you happen to have a copy of the pix backup running configuration?

I sorted out the problem and i successfully did it, actually i was confuce that they need the interface ip address but that ip can be any through which that pix interface can be access and will later be use for telnet.
