What to you mean when you say point-to-point connection. If you are planning to connection interface on ASA with a router's interface. You can do that easily.
However, if you mean protocol ppp, just like router's serial interface then it is not possible.
HDLC or PPP is only a phenomenon on serial interface, Ethernet interface which is only available on ASA doesn't support these two encapsulation protocols.
