Question on PIX failover...

I am new to managing a particular network where I work and I discovered that the secondary PIX does not have a config when I do a "show conf". The primary PIX is active and I see the config on it. I want to copy the active config over to the secondary PIX, but I do not want "failover" to take place. I keep getting this console message stating that "failover cable connected but failover not enabled" or something similar to that. How can I set up failover and copy the config over, but not have the primary PIX actually failover ? Thanks for any help.

Tom

Hi,

It seems like failover is disabled. the easiest approach is to type "failover on", this will enable the failover and the config will be replicated to secondary firewall.

Thanks
