"Set MTU" Problem

Hi,

I'm using the Cisco VPN client 4.0.2 on windows XP and 2000 computers. I want to set the MTU to 1400. For that, i've used the "set mtu" cisco software. After my computer reboot, the mtu size is still 1300 bytes and my traffic is fragmented.

Does anybody have a solution ?

Thanks.

Regards.

i have mine set to 1300 and i have no problems.

you can set it in the registry directly

HiveKeyLocalMachine > System >CurrentControlSet > Services > TCPIP > Parameters - you will see the interfaces defined by object classes (a bunch of numbers): you should see a value called MTU. set the RegDWord value to whatever.

or there is documentation all over the web to do this i.e., http://www.winguides.com/registry/display.php/280/
