Recovering Registration Key for FTD Firepower 1140 – Adding to FMC

Hi,

I'm wondering if it's possible to recover the 'Registration Key' from a Cisco Firepower 1140 FTD (Firewall Device Manager). Or is the only option to run 'configure manager delete' and then create a new one using 'configure manager add [IP xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx] [passkey]'?

If we do this, will we lose the entire network configuration when generating a new key on FTD?

We don’t want to reset the device. We just need to recover the passkey because someone forgot to save it when the network was set up in 2018 (or maybe 2016).

We need it because we plan to add the FTD to FMC.

@kacper1 yes, enter the command expert to login to expert mode and type sudo tail -f /etc/sf/sftunnel.conf to display the manager registration information
