We have an ASA 5540.

Is there a way to transparently redirect web tcp/80 request to two separate internal SQUID web-cache servers?

Do you have white papers on this?

WCCP (Web Cache communication Protocol) can be used for this sort of thing -

Yes, WCCP is the way to go. It is also used for integrating Ironport Web Security Appliances with an ASA.
