Regarding registration of Cisco Products

I bought a brand new Cisco ASA and switch from amazon. How can i upgrade my ASA firmware from 8.2 to 8.4 . Should i sign up a contract with Cisco for software updates and patches. What support can i expect from Cisco. Cheers

Hi,

For accessing any ASA image you would need a contract with Cisco for it. After having a contract you would be able to access the image and install it on your device. I am not really sure about all the details, but you have a warranty contract and support contract which would entitle you for such information.
