Reimage Cisco 5525-x firepower module

Hi Guys,

Due to the limitation, asdm is not able to communicate with firepower services on ver 5.0.4, thus I have to upgrade the firepower module to at least v.6.0 and above. However, one thing really concerns me where during the system install of the 6.0 pkg, there is notification of the configuration will be erased after the reimage. Is that mean the Cisco asa configuration will be all gone and no way to retain excerpt backup the config and restore after the upgrading?

Module sfr will be recovered. This may erase all configuration and all data
on that device and attempt to download/install a new image for it. This may take
several minutes.

That message only applies to the settings (basic network settings and any policies that have been deployed onto the module) on the FirePOWER service module.

Your base ASA configuration will remain unchanged when you re-image the sfr module.
