RESET-I Meaning

Hi, im hopeing someone will be able to clear this up for me.

When you get a RESET-I message in your syslogs, what does this mean ?

I know this is reset from the inside, however what is the inside ?

Is it the host that initiates the connection ? or the host on the higher of the security interface ?

I am confused about this ?

Any help appreciated.

"Inside" is the host on the higher security interface. It doesn't necessarily have to be on an interface called "inside" though. For example, if it's traffic from DMZ (sec-level 50) to outside (sec-level 0) then in this case the DMZ interface would be considered "inside".

Thankyou, i have been wondering about this for sometime.
