Would anyone know if a single universal snmp oid exists that returns the device model type, 1721, 3745, 6509, 6550 etc etc ? Ive looked through the chassis oids ... no luck. Cant find a single for ALL Cisco models.

Yes thanks. Was actually trying to stay away from a static list ... but thanks. If thats what I have to do then thats what I have to do.

you could also look at the CISCO-PRODUCTS-MIB for a master list of devices:
