Hi Guys,

I would like to clarify with you what is the use of the SSD1 and SSD2 in FP4100 series?

Where do we install the logical device such as FTD, is it in the SSDs or SSP?

Thanks

SSD1 is where applications are installed (ASA, FTD, etc.)

SSD2 is optional and reserved for Malware storage

Hi @nspasov , thanks for your feedback. What is SSP?

I am sorry but I am not sure what you are referring to with "SSP" Can you elaborate?

SSP (Security Services Processor) or SSM (Security Services Module).

Hi @nspasov , I am just confused where the FXOS / FTD / ASA are installed, is it in the SSP or SSD? Does the SSD and SSP are 2x different modules?

Per Cisco Live, FP4100 internal architecture, the SSD is built-in and the 2x slots for SSD is just for AMP storage. Does this mean that the SSP in an fixed internal storage separated from the SSD in FP4100 series?

Thank you so much.

What is the Cisco Live session that you are referring to here?
