Support for ftdv 7.3.1 on VmWare 8.2

Hi

Is FTDv 7.3.1 supported on VmWare version 8 update 2 ?

We run a FTDv HA setup, and just upgraded from VmWare version 7.x to version 8 update 2, after that our secondary FTDv seems to be fine from VmWare point of view, but in FTDv CLI all interfaces says "line protocol down   -  no link"

Anybody ???

Regards Henrik

Not that cisco given information fully tested :

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/security/secure-firewall/compatibility/threat-defense-compatibility.html#reference_7CC9392196754AD38B5250A9183027C8

But check is there any Interface changes after upgrade, change to e1000 and test it ?

How to Ask The Cisco Community for Help

@henrikj it doesn't appear so, the FTD 7.3 release notes states ESX 6.5, 6.7 - 7.0 is supported.

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/security/secure-firewall/release-notes/threat-defense/730/threat-defense-release-notes-73/requirements.html

I might be misremembering, but I seem to recall a previous post saying you could change the type of virtual NIC and this worked.....but it would be unsupported.

You're referring to this topic, and the work-around mentioned by Marvin.
