Transferring ASA VPN license to FTD and configuring VPN in FTD

Hello all, I am trying to go through the steps for migrating licenses to the ftd from the ASA. On another post related to mine, I found this solution :"If you are already using Smart account then you can transfer the license from one device to another. If not using, then convert your classic license to smart account with ASA. Add FTD to account also then move the license. You need to create smart account if not having it yet."

My question is how do I get my asa license to convert in the smart license portal. We have a smart license portal and already licensed our FTD.

As mentioned, you need to contact licensing team. FTD uses different
licensing scheme from ASA. So converting is not doable from portal. Also,
AFAIK, Cisco stopped converting ASA perpetual licenses to FTD licenses. You
might need to buy new but they can advise.

Thank You. I have contacted them. Yes part of our agreement was being able to convert the licenses.
