I have the FireSIGHT Management Center set up and I have a 90 day license for url filtering/malware. I have registered the licenses on the FMC, and added a 5506 to the console. But I can't seem to apply the available license to the 5506. So I'm unable to do any url filtering or anything.
When I click on System > Licenses in the FMC I can see that the licenses are available and not used.
When I click on Devices > Device Management and Edit the ASA I added, I can see under the License heading that all the licenses are enabled. But I cannot apply any policies as it says the device requires a license.
Any ideas on where I'm going wrong here?

Have you redeemed the Control license for the ASA? That one is a prerequisite for the others.
Also, the FMC itself must have its license activated.

I redeemed the control license on the ASA when it was in Standalone mode. I actually thought that may have been the issue so I removed the ASA from the FMC and removed the license. Then added it back to the FMC but I still have the same issue.
Do I need to add the ASA control license to the FMC? It currently shows as having a Protection License.

Yes, you need to redeem and add the control license using the FireSIGHT Management Center license key.
You may need to open a TAC case since you redeemed it once already using the ASA's standalone key.
