Hey emmacisco,

your ios should be cat4500e-UNIVERSALK9-M in order to support ssh.

(K9 represents the crypto image)

IOS needs to be upgraded before it will support ssh.

Hope this helps....

What ios is on the 4507?

It should have a k9 within the ios name.

Hope this helps.

If so, please rate.

Thanks.

Cehill.

Below is the IOS:

Cisco IOS Software, IOS-XE Software, Catalyst 4500 L3 Switch Software (cat4500e-UNIVERSAL-M), Version 03.03.02.SG RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1)

Hi Charles.

Thanks for this details.

In this case, do I need to get a k9 licence or there is a way to upgrade?

You will need to download and install the new ios onto your switch.

You will need a CCO account and a valid service contract with rights.

If not, you will need to contact your vendor or cisco rep for the upgrade.

To verify if your switch is under warranty, go to

->Tools & Resources

-> Device Checker

-> Enter your serial number

This will verify if its covered or not.
