Hello,

We have several  catalyst 6509's with SLB and FWSM, after more then 5 years one crashed and we have to upgrade them because of this . Is there some good documentation on this.

Are there also known issues/dependencies with onboard hardware, SLB loadbalancers, 6509 software releases (hopefully some documentation which describes this) See the details of the software (both 6509 and fwsm) and modules below

Hi.

You'll find this info in the release notes. here is a link to the multiple FWSM main train releases:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/modules/ps2706/prod_release_notes_list.html

Release notes include upgrade instructions, and dependencies on CAT6K side.

As for SLB side, this should not have any dependencies on the FWSM side, as they don't talk to each other directly. However if the FWSM upgrade requires you to upgrade your CAT6K side, you might want to check the release notes of the SLB module if it's also compatible with this cat6k image.

Regards,

Fadi.
