I have an air-gapped system that has the following (relevant) devices:
2 x Cisco vFMC 300 running 7.6.0 build 113 running as an HA pair
1 x Cisco SSM On-Prem running 9-202502
I am trying to register the FMC to the SSM but it is consistently failing to register - I haven't had this issue with any of my other environments running the same setup and software.
I've checked connectivity between the vFMC and SSM and it all looks good (they are on the same subnet and ping, curl and telnet all play nice with the SSM FQDN I am using)
I have also checked the following logs:
vFMC - /var/log/smart_agent,log
SSM On-Prem: /var/log/messages
and they are both throwing up a message "have already registered" despite the FMC not being registered to the SSM (checked on both devices)
/etc/sf/smart_agent.conf on the FMC shows the following:
authorization=No License in Use,1760450009 registration=UNREGISTERED,1760450009 virtual_acct=(null) |
I have also had log messages (on both devices) stating "undefined method 'satellites' for nil:NilClass" but these seem to have disappeared while I have been "hacking" around.
Before I raise a TAC case I was hoping someone may be able to shed some gems of wisdom - maybe Marvin Rhoads will pick this up?
I cannot paste up outputs, logs etc as my systems are air-gapped and IMPEX takes some time!
