Catalyst 9000 Series has been heralded as the torchbearer ushering an entirely new era in networking. Catalyst 9000 Series along with Cisco’s Intent Based Networking solution provides policy based segmentation, automation and assurance. Catalyst 9000 series has its footprint starting with access, all the way to the core, with Catalyst 9300 Series, Catalyst 9400 Series and Catalyst 9500 Series. With technology leadership and powerful innovations like Trustworthy Systems, Patching, Cisco UPoE, ISSU, Stackwise virtual, AVC, AVB, ETA, Stackpower and Fast software upgrade, to name a few, Catalyst 9000 series switches are the best in class. Awarded with the CRN Product of the year award for 2017, Catalyst 9000 series has already been widely deployed by 10,000+ customers. Catalyst 9200 Series, which are fixed form switches, with UADP 2.0 mini ASIC, offer security features that are highly competitive and the best in its class. It offers full SD-Access capabilities with scale that caters to the business needs of a small branch. SD-Access offers macro as well as micro-segmentation and automated quarantine-remediation. With software defined access and network assurance capabilities, managing security violations and  network malfunctions becomes highly simplified.

Cisco 9200 Series switches, operating on Cisco IOS-XE software, continues to have the same software subscription licensing as that of the other Catalyst 9000 series. The platform provides advanced security features that protects the integrity of the hardware as well as the software and all data that flows through the switch.

Macsec-128 provides secure point-to-point links for integrity and confidentiality thereby mitigating man-in-the-middle attacks and denial of service. Full Flexible Netflow (FNF) with Stealthwatch can be used to gain visibility into the network  and combat malware threats. Catalyst 9200 supports first hop security suite to harden IPv6 operations in the network. Trustworthy Systems or TWS consists of Secure Boot, Image signing, secure device on-boarding, runtime defenses, operating system validation and modern crypto. Secure Boot ensure authenticity of the software image. Image signing for counterfeit protection and to be FIPS compliant. Secure device identity prevents counterfeiting. Overall, 9200 Series places an emphasis on simplicity and robustness. In addition to the amplified security forte, all the popular security features like IEEE 802.1x that are on 2960X/XR will continue to be part of 9200 series.
