Hello,

We are working on a spare switch (with 12 fibre modules), which needs to be used as the failover switch in our company data centre.

Cisco switch model : WS-C3750-12S(PowerPC405)

Can you confirm the below :

i. Does this switch support BGP protocol?

ii. Is this switch out of warranty? Can you share the cisco page weblink where I can check the End of Life details for this switch?

As per the below link that I could find, it appears that this switch has reached its End of Life :

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/switches/catalyst-3750-series-switches/eol_c51-696372.html

How can we work on a support agreement with Cisco to have general production support till we replace this one with a permanent switch which is new?

iii. What is the correct SFP module that can be used on the 12 fibre ports that this switch possesses? Can you share the exact SFP module that I need to purchase inorder to ensure the hardware compatibility is taken care?

Thanks,

Shiv

3750G-12S does not support BGP Protocol.

This particular model is way past end-of-support.

Same thing.
The 3750G-12S does not have enough flash space to support BGP routing table.
