Core Issue

Due to the Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) not propagating any internal BGP (iBGP) learned routes to another iBGP peer, a full iBGP mesh should be maintained within the Autonomous System (AS).

Resolution

To resolve this issue configure the BGP router to be a route reflector.

By configuring a BGP router to be a route reflector, a full mesh is no longer required. To configure a BGP router to be a route reflector, issue the neighbor route-reflector-client command.

For more information, refer to the Route Reflectors section of BGP Case Studies.
