Hello,
From what I understand most of the Data Centers are dealing with 9K MTU size with their Endpoints at the leaf level.
For the East-West flows, it won't be rare to have those packets egressed from the ISN Device.
I wanted to find out, if I m peering with my provider at the ISN device with 1500 MTU(obviously I am using internet here as the medium for ISL network transport), does the fabric generated VXLAN packets after the NAT process at the ISN on their way out to the device on the site, will be fragmented and reassembled back to 9K jumbo MTU size, or I am missing something here?
One of the requirements for the Multisite ACI to work, is that SPINE switches can't do any fragmentations or Reassembly!
Another question irrelevant to the previews one, what is the internet MTU size, like the guaranteed size delivery of a packet? like I am not sure that If I peer with my provider at a 9100 MTU size, I can't just send 9100kb packets to the internet? aren't they gonna be dropped?
