NDFC 12.0.2f single-node in lab, add IOS-XE switch returns "N/A"

Hello,

I'm just starting out with a single ND node with NDFC 12.0.2f VM running in our lab.  Attempting to add C9300-48U (17.3.5) switch to IOS-XE VXLAN Fabric results in switch status "N/A" on the Add Switches screen.  C9300 Gi0/0 is vrf forwarding Mgmt-vrf, and IP can ping ND-NDFC service IP.

Nothing seemingly related is found in Event Analytics, so far.  Other, Nexus nodes on same management network are added to different, VXLAN Fabric with no issue.

Does Status "N/A" on Add Switch screen for the C9300 connote a basic connectivity issue, a compatibility issue, or?
