Sorry, not sure whether this is a valid question in this context but our customer is using Fortinet SW 5.2.4.

NEDs are designed for OSes independently of the versions, which does not mean that all functionalities work in all versions. Also, in rare occasions (such as F5) there is version control in the NED.

All in all, I would take this NED and test it against your lab as it should work just fine. I have used the Fortinet NED many times and the experience is overwhelmingly excellent.
