Hey team,
I have noticed that the Device Platform information is not persistent upon reload, and if reloaded, requires a sync-from to be re-populated in the cDB.
I found this interesting and was digging for a NED setting for something I may have missed, but have not found anything.
Is there a way to ensure this information is persistent upon NSO reload?
Thanks,
Brandon

For the cisco-asa, cisco-ios and probably also the cisco-nx, the platform information will be persisted in the next NSO release, I believe.

This varies by NED; many NEDs don't even have information like this. So for a deeper discussion, please let us know which NED(s) you have in mind.

Hey Jan,
Appreciate it, Looking at the cisci-cli neds (IOS, ASA, Nexus) They all appear to contain platform as a part of the devices device container.
Thanks again,
Brandon
