Can we make server reachable with mezzanine adapter

Can we make server reachable with mezzanine adapter? Is it mandatory to install mlom card to make server reachable on network?

Thanks for the reply, presently I am using b200m4 blade server with two adapter mlom card and mezzanine card. As checked MLOM card is found faulty but Mezzanine card is working ok. But without MLOM card server is not reachable on network.Mezzanine card is still installed in the server.
