CISCO IE-3200-8PS2E Wiring Help

I am using the attached Network Switch, and I can't tell from the datasheet what AWG wire I need to use for the dual DC power supplies. Can you help me?

Also, what is the purpose of having two power supplies? Is it for redundancy, or are both needed?

Hi

Is redundant power supply so only one is necessary to boot up the device.

You can find more information about the Power supply on this link

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/switches/industrial-ethernet-switches/datasheet-c78-742180.html#Table1

There´s no specification about AWG wire, but, you should be able to calculate using the voltage and the Amperage.

@Flavio Miranda - Thank you for the above reply, it was helpful. Regarding the redundant power supplies, if I hook up two different voltage sources to the IE 3200's supply ports, does it draw from only one source or a mixture of both?

Best regards,

Ben
