Solved: 15454 vs 15310 Comparison

Could any expert provide a comparison between the 15454 and 15310? Is the 15310 just smaller (ie like a 6513 vs a 6509?) or do the platforms serve two completley different purposes?

Is the 15310 just smaller (ie like a 6513 vs a 6509?) NO they are not like 6509/6513. In 6509 there are 9 slots and 6513 there are 13.

But in case of 15454 and 15310 we are comparing 6509 with 3750. 15454 is 11RU can be used till 10G (OC192) that too Multiple whereas 15310-CL is 1RU an can have only OC12 speed. Whereas 15310-MA can go upto OC48. So 15310 is a very compact box. Both can provide Ethernet cards will differ number of ports supported.

15454 is a Core box whereas 15310 is an Edge box.
