Fiber link between Cisco-3650 SFP GLC-SX-MM and D'Link DMC-700SC

Hi everyone
I have simple scheme

It works but I want to replace D-Link-1210-48 to Cisco-3560G with SFP GLC-SX-MM
And I have some problem with that.
The problem is - it's do NOT working.
When I build the short scheme on my desk Cisco2960s -> DLinkDMC-700SC -> MMF-Fiber(3 meters) -> Cisco-SFP-GLC-SX-MM-> Cisco-3560G It works.

But in real world with 250 meters MMF-Fiber it do NOT works.
The fiber link do NOT up in any variant I was trying. (different SFP\ports and another one 3560)
The Fiber was checked and it in a good condition.

Any idea what I did wrong?

Hi there,

On the 250 metre fibre have you tried swapping the fibre strands/ "changing the polarity" ?

Yes, it's first thing I was trying to do.
There are two fiber link (four fiber strands).

Maybe some one has proof that the SFP GLC-SX-MM can work with D'Link DMC-700SC?

I've been try two Cisco-3650, three D'Link DMC-700SC, and a few SFP GLC-SX-MM.

For now I don't have working solution.

Just so I am clear, you tried swapping the strands in a pair, like this:

Regarding the compatibility, so long as the DMC-700SC is 802.3z compliant (which it is) there shouldn't be an issue.

Yes. I've been try to do this many times.

Sounds like you may either have singlemode fiber for the long run (which wouldn't be surprising), or you may have OM2 (50 micron) multimode vs OM1 62.5 micron, which in SOME cases could cause an issue. .... I actually just looked up the specs on your 700SC and it looks like it wants 62.5

"62.5/125μm multi-mode fiber optic cable, up to 550m"

The cable is almost certainly your issue.

Do you have access to run a new cable? If not, determine the exact cable you have and get a media converter that will work for you / that cable. You could also re-run the fiber but that would likely be way more expensive!
