Hi - I have an ASR903 that is using two QSFP_40GE_SR4 optics (both are recognized in the ASR903 on the appropriate ports) but the optics are not linking together when I connect them. I am using an MTP to MTP Female connector. I will upload an image of the jumper that I am using.
I should be able to link these together with no issue, correct? The routers are right next to each other < 150M distance limit that the optic has (and the jumper is just 2M).
Thanks

You may need to check the polarity of the cable assembly you are using to connect the two transceivers. The below link may help.

Hi Tom - I just wanted to say thanks. It was a polarity issue. The cables were pre-made MTP cables and the particular ones I was using were straight through ( not labeled as such, but I verified by checking the visual light coming out of the optic and the jumper)
The guide you provided really helps out. I need to read through it in more detail.
thanks!
