Guys
I'm trying to connect two 3850 switch stacks across OM1 MM fibre - because of distance i require 100Mb SFPs
Can anyone confirm are the GLC-GE-100FX SFPs compatible with WS-C3850-12XS-E devices?
According to the 'Cisco 100-Megabit Ethernet SFP Modules Compatibility Matrix (Revised: January 25, 2017)' only the WS-C3850-12S will support these.
Does this mean there is no compatible 100Mb SFP?
Many thanks in advance!

Curtis,
The SFP+ ports on the base XS 3850 models are unfortunately not compatible with 100 Mbps SFPs.
You would have to use either a network module (C3850-NM-4-1G or C3850-NM-2-10G) or else an external device to convert for compatibility with your inter-switch link

Hi Marvin
Can you please confirm is MFEFX1 (100BASE-FX) the correct SFP compatible with SG300-10SFP small business switch, to support 100Mb MM fibre 1310 nm wavelength, support up to 2 km?
thanks

Does this mean there is no compatible 100Mb SFP?
No, there is no compatible 100M SFP for WS-C3850-12XS-E as WS-C3850-12XS-E switches only have 12 10Gigabit SFP+ ports, which are not auto-negotiate with 100Mb SFPs. So it is better to buy the 10G SFP+ modules.

This seems to conflict with the Cisco 100Mb tranceiver compatabillity matrix.
3850's show compatability with the GLC-GE-100FX=. My only issue is the WS-3850-48XS is not referenced at all. Need clarify from Cisco on that one.
