ISL Brocade and Cisco

Hello Team,

ISL between Brocade X6-4 Director/6510 Switch through  to 9132T Fabric Switch

Is it compatible/supported ?

I see no evidence, please advise..

Hello,

Cisco's ISL and Broadcom's (Brocade) ISL are the same in name only. They are both proprietary, if you need to connect a Cisco 9132 to a Brocade 6510, you need to use dot1q encapsulation.

That said, even on Cisco equipment, I hardly see ISL anymore. It is all dot1q.
