ONS15454 - Questions

I'm looking into purchasing a couple ONS15454's to complete a backbone link to a remote PoP so that I can provide DS1 and DS3 services out to customers. I was planning on using the following cards but am not 100% sure.

For the Point to Point connection either an:

     OC48 LR/STM15 LG AS 1550 

     1xG1K4 Ethernet Card

     ML-1000-2 Ethernet Card

For the Channelized DS3 the Sonet 12 Port DS3 Transmultiplexor

I'm fairly new to deploying this equipment and would be very interested in hearing any experiences.

You don't have any DS1 cards... Are you planning on using an external M1/3 multiplexer to provide the DS1s over a channelized DS3 back to the CO? 

Any of the 15454 cards listed could be used; depending upon your mix of services.
