Good day,

I have Cisco 2911 (EHWIC-1GE-SFP-CU , GLC-SX-MMD,  LC to SC Adapter. I want to configure PPPOE on cisco SFP port as diagram bellow:

Cisco R2911  (SFP Port) ---- (SC - LC Adapter) --- ISP

interface Dialer1

ip address negotiated

ip mtu 1452

ip nat outside

ip virtual-reassembly in

encapsulation ppp

ip tcp adjust-mss 1452

dialer pool 1

ppp authentication chap pap callin

ppp chap hostname XXXX

ppp chap password 0 XXXX

ppp pap sent-username XXXX password 0 XXXX

ppp ipcp dns request

interface GigabitEthernet0/0/0

no ip address

media-type sfp

pppoe enable

pppoe-client dial-pool-number 1

I had checked Dialer1 (up up ), GigabitEthernet 0/0/0 (down down), Fiber Cable (working) >>> It doesn't work

Anyone can help me how to fix this problem.

Thank you so much

Sang

Hi,

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/interfaces-modules/gigabit-ethernet-gbic-sfp-modules/product_data_sheet0900aecd8033f885.html

Table 1.       SFP Port Cabling Specifications

It support only MMF type of fiber. On your picture cable is SMF. Change SMF to MMF.

Hello kayukovvalera,

Thank you for helping. I had called for ISP to check what are their fiber mode using yesterday? They answered "It's Single Mode" then I had bought SMF Cable and it's not worked. If I change SMF to MMF cable as your suggest and is it worked with ISP Single mode ?

Thank you so much.
