X2 transceiver - CISCO-SUMITOMO - syslog message - SFF8472-5-THRESHOLD_VIOLATION

Hi,

I have a problem with X2 transceivers from "CISCO-SUMITOMO".

The WS-C3560E-12D-S Catalyst Switch generates the following syslog message due to the fact that it cannot read out the operating voltage value:

%SFF8472-5-THRESHOLD_VIOLATION: Te0/8: Voltage low alarm; Operating value: 0.00 V, Threshold value: 3.07 V.

The switch is running the follwing image:

c3560e-universalk9-mz.150-1.SE

Unfortunately, due to the fact that the global command "logging discriminator" is not supported in IOS version 15.0(1+2)SE it is not possible to filter the message.

After a lot of research and reading I can say that this is not a known open caveat:

Do you have any suggestions how I can avoid those messages?

Replacement is not an alternative for me!

By the following X2 transceivers the operating voltage value cannot be read out, too, but there will be no syslog message generated:

The Event Syslog Manager is working in IOS version 15.0(1+2)SE so I'am now using the following Tcl script to filter the syslog message.
