We have a need to connect a Cisco WS-C2960G-24TC-L to an ISP's TMarc280 (NID) using a 100M-FX SFP through multi-mode fiber.
We tried but had some issues getting "LINK" so we sent a 3750G (both switches are compatable with said SFP) to test the connection again before working with the ISP.
I have been able to talk switch to switch both using a dot1Q trunk and an access port configuration.
The problem is when we either disconnect the fiber, or shut down the port on the port that feeds out to the remote 3750G closet.
When re-activating the port or plugging the fiber back in we cannot get the "LINK" up without doing a cold boot on the 3750G.
I have tried everything I know of and have not been able to figure out a way to do this without needing interaction from our "boots on the ground" and/or myself bouncing the local 2960G port...
Thinking this may have something to do with it being a gigabit switch I tried setting speeds to 100M at each end but can't seem to find the proper configuration option.
This is what I have on the 2960G. I do need to run this as an access port. Any help is greatly appreciated.
