Have anybody tried GLC-BX-D/U= SFP modules with Cisco 7201 router? Does it work?

This will not answer your question.

It would be nice if Cisco added "unsupported" to SFP/GBICs models that have been tested with a particular platform/card but failed to operate properly. It is impossible to know if a GBIC/SFP is not outlined in the compatibility documents because it has not yet been tested by Cisco.

Unless it is tested and outlined in the compatibility documents, Cisco TAC will typically not support the configuration.
