C9200-24p weird issue with gbic

My end user uses small business switches CBS350-24FP-4G and is connecting with C9200-24P. GE Transceiver for SMB is MGBSX1 and from C9200 I use GLC-SX-MM. It wont link to each other unless I trick them by unplug and plug back other gbic from catalyst side.  Does anyone knows about this issue?

Not sure.

IOS-XE is riddled with optic module bugs.  If one version fixes it, another version will re-introduce the same bug.

Thanks for the info , I ordered two GLC-SX-MMD. I will update here with results.

I tried GLC-SX-MMD and still the same issue. Any other suggestion?

Yes, it is a very widely known issue about optics and IOS-XE.

Cold reboot is the most common "recommended" workaround.

This is troubleshooting 101, I have tried and didn't work. Thanks

Loop the link to each other.  Does the port go up?

I put GLS-SX-MM in both side  and the link comes up .

What firmware is the 9200 on?

17.6.4

Please try either 17.6.5 or 17.9.3.

Do you think 17.6.5 will fix my issue ?
