Connectivity between 10GBase-SR & 1000BaseSX

Hi Guys,

Need urgent comment can tengig module transceiver at 1 end and 1 gig transceiver at another are compatible and link can come up.

Model: WS-X6724-SFP

Type: 1000BaseSX

  Model: WS-C4948-10GE-X2
Type: 10GBase-SR

Cisco fibre optic transceivers are single-speed only.  If you have 10 Gbps on one end then the other end must be the same, 10 Gbps.
