Which fiber type is supported by this SFP?

In this sources, its says that MMF/SMF:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/interfaces_modules/transceiver_modules/compatibility/matrix/OL_6981.html

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/interfaces_modules/transceiver_modules/installation/note/78_15160.html

But in this - that MMF only:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/switches/ps5718/ps9703/data_sheet_c78-440930.html

P.S. I need to connect IE-3000-8TC (GLC-LX-SM-RGD) with (GLC-LH-SM) WS-C3750X-24T-S (C3KX-NM-1G)

P.S.S. sorry for my english

I read the last reference as saying single mode only:

GLC-LX-SM-RGD=

Gigabit Ethernet SFP, LC connector, LH (1Gps single mode) transceiver

You should be fine connecting the two devices you mention via singlemode fiber.

Ok, but I'm still don't understand.

Can I connect two IE-3000 with GLC-LX-SM-RGD via multimode? It appears that with IE-3000 this SFP can operate only with SMF fiber type.

Not unless you use a patch-conditioning-cable.

To add on to loelaohoo's response, the following document outlines the use of a mode conditioning patch cord when using the GLC-LX-SM-RGD SFP over multimode fibers (up to 550 meters).

As per the SFP data sheets specs:

Hope this clears things up.  Good luck!

Thanks for the reply!

I will check it
