How to decide the DCU value

Hi All,

I want to know how I can keep fixed the DCU value in a phase by phase developing network.. in some parts of the network DCU value changes as and when I change the number of circuits.

We don't have complete traffic demand today, but in future it will increase so I don't want to end up in a situation where I have to change DCUs.

I'm using CTP 9.4 Appreciate your help.

Harin,

There is very little you can do in this situation. Network capacity growth will demand new DCU values depending on the signal rate on the wavelengths and the span wavelength composition.

Hi,

Firs of all in CTP you should create ROADM Service Demands, it emulates feauture channels. Or you could increase forecast quantaty in current service demand. After that change your DCU module to Tunable DCU module, after that analyze your network and then you will get report with new tunable DCU, this is good solution.
