Issue when linking ASR1001-X 1G port to ASR9001k 1G port

I am having a issue when linking two routers together. 9k and 1k is using a GLC-SX-MMD SFP’s and connected via a OM4 MMF fiber cable. Both routers seem to be compatible with the sfps, however when connecting the two routers the 9k goes in a UP/UP state however the 1k stays in a DOWN/DOWN state. I would not doubt if there is something small or dumb that I am not doing..

I would check the fiber Light, make sure they are right, and check the patch cables, is that good.

is this your own Fibre or Provided by Provider Link ?

all Physical stuff checked then try  interface command - speed nonegotiate

The fiber is my own fiber. Its a brand new fiber patch cable. I have even tried another OM4 patch cable and it still did not work. If I remove the patch cable from the 1001-X side I see the led light down the cable. I will try to implement “speed nonegotiation” when I get access to the router again and will let you know how it goes. Thanks.

When you remove the cable the Port goes down, Look for Light signal Looping

Twist the Fibre and test it example : ( after negotiation command still not working)
