Low receive power on optical interfaces; troubleshooting remotely

I have a switch with all four 10g optical links on a port channel showing -40.0 dBm Optical Receive Power. I believe this means it's not receiving a signal at all. I don't have physical access to the switch nor the device the port channel is connecting to. I'll have physical access tomorrow, but is there anything I can do today to troubleshoot the issue?

Anything at all would be helpful, thanks in advance !

You're right. -40.0 dBm indicates no light is being received. It's either a physical layer problem or the interfaces are shutdown at the distant end.

There's not anything you can do without access to verify one or both of those factors.

Rats, I was hoping that wasn't the case. Thanks Marvin.
