Hi,
I’m working on deploying a CSR in Azure and I’ve got a few questions. Based on this documentation: https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/routers/csr1000/software/azu/b_csr1000config-azure/b_csr1000config-azure_chapter_0100.html#reference_wkv_ygy_lcb a public IP address is required. The environment we’re deploying this into is pretty secure and we’d like to avoid deploying any public IPs if possible. What is the public IP used for here and is it possible to use the CSR without one?
Regards,

It is going to depend on how are you building things. Whe are this CSR positioned? Is it behid a gateway?Do you have any site to site vpn?
The requirement for public ip address depending on your topology.
