Conferences always sound good when you're signing up for them. Travel to a new place. Fancy meals. A chance to learn from or teach others in your industry.
But then you get there and it's a LOT of people. A lot of noise. A lot of pressure and socializing and dinners out. And sometimes it's just too much. It doesn't feel great.
If you've ever felt this way, you're not alone. It turns out that a whole lot of people get overwhelmed at tech conferences. So this year the people organizing KubeCon decided to do something (actually a number of things) to make their attendees feel better.
