1760-V Support for Digital and Analog Voice

I have a customer looking to use the 1760-V with (1) VWIC-1MFT-T1 and (3) VIC-2FXS cards where the Carrier will be providing Voice and Data across a T1 or potentially a PRI circuit. The Data is for Internet and the Voice 1-6 Channels would be for standard PSTN connections (probably DID numbers) .

Can the 1760 accept the Voice and Data and then have the voice mapped to a channel group and sent to the FXS ports which will have analog phones connected to these ports?

I know the (3) VIC-2FXS modules would require an 12-channel PVDM. With voice also riding on the T1 would additional DSPs be required?

If there is a Sample config for this scenario please provide.

Although I could not locate any exact configuration tip, I found this tech note

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/customer/products/hw/gatecont/ps2271/products_tech_note09186a00800f9d37.shtml

where is says having both data/voice is possible on this T1 WIC on 1760 when you use 12.2(8)YJ

I don't think the 1760 (or any of the 1700 family) supports VWIC-1MFT-T1 modules. At least is not listed in the supported VIC'S.

Probably one of the product specialists withing Cisco can confirm us this.

The 1760 doessupport the MFT-T1/E1, including the 2T1/2E1 VWICs. The 1760 supports the following Multiflex t1/e1 VWICS:

VWIC-1MFT-T1

VWIC-2MFT-T1

VWIC-1MFT-E1

VWIC-2MFT-E1

VWIC-2MFT-T1-DI

VWIC-2MFT-E1-DI

VWIC-1MFT-G.703

VWIC-2MFT-G.703

The 1760 CAN use the same VWIC for both voice and data DS0s. You will need:

16MB flash, 96MB RAM

12.2.(4)YB IP/VOX PLUS or higher image

Sufficient DSPs provisioned.

To safely support your T1 and 6 FXS ports I believe (though I am not a configuration guru for the 1760) you will need 10 PVDM channels. The number of channels is based on codec complexity. 10 channels means you need a PVDM-256K-4U20 and a PVDM-256K-20HD.
