In the new version 5.2.2 DMM it now reports the LCD status.

I have a Cisco 40" that show that it is OFF when it is on.

Is there a procedure to get the status to display proper state?

Thanks.

James,

What DMP model do you have connected to LCD?

(DMP-4400G or DMP-4310)

The LCD status should be off by default.

Please issue the Status Mib directly or via

a System Task on the DMM->Digital Signs->DMP Manager.

STATUS MIB

https://admin:default@a.b.c.d:7777/get_param?p=*.*

admin   = DMP Web Account Username

default = DMP Web Account Password

a.b.c.d = IP Address of DMP

Search the status output for the mib variable "init.screen_display_stat"

and copy\paste the value in your response.  Mark it as

BEFORE.

Then, turn on the DMP polling service for the 40inch LCD by running

the system task on the DMM->Digital Signs->DMP Manager.

After your turn on the DMP polling service, repeat the status mib

request again. Search the status output for the mib variable

"init.screen_display_stat" and copy\paste the value in your response.

Mark it as AFTER.

Also, recheck the DMP Manager after 5 minutes and check the LCD

status.

NOTE:  I am assuming you have the RS232 cable attached to the DMP

and connected to the LCD.  And the RS232 feature is enabled and is

working. (ie. You can power on & off the LCD from the DMM)

Cheers!

T.

Here are the results:

Before:

init.screen_display_stat T_LONG -1
init.model_name T_STRING DMP-4400
init.product T_STRING DMS-DMP-4400
init.build T_STRING Thu Oct 14 17:26:50 PDT 2010
init.version T_STRING 5.2.2

After:

init.screen_display_stat T_LONG 0
init.model_name T_STRING DMP-4400
init.product T_STRING DMS-DMP-4400
init.build T_STRING Thu Oct 14 17:26:50 PDT 2010
init.version T_STRING 5.2.2

I have about 14 more displays that act the same way we installed 67 last year , 3 of the 14 are 52" displays.

All units are DMP4400G

All are controled with serial cable.

Ok,

The BEFORE is correct and the value is as expected but

the AFTER should be 1.

Can we try this on one of the problem DMPs?

Note: as long as you are using DHCP and you have access to this

DMP if necessary, try the following.

* Go To the DMP-DM Web admin directly

* Select & execute RESTORE default settings

The DMP should reboot and act like it just came out of the box..

* Go To the DMP-DM Web admin directly

* Config DMP as needed.

* After DMP has registered with the DMM, You will need to enable RS232 again

and then enable RS232 Status Polling Service again...

Repeat the STATUS MIB gathering for the AFTER...

Thanks

T.

I restored dmp.

Enabled RS232 control

Enabled RS232 Status

Ran Status:

init.screen_display_stat     T_LONG     0

Note: this is with the 40" display is turned on.

James,

Please paste the "complete" results of the STATUS mib

and paste into a text file an upload here...

Thanks

T.

Here is the complete result of status mib:

Note: I tried a different DMP4400 on ths monitor and got the same result;

The Monitor is a Cisco 40" SN# MG40HCASC01875

Hello,

Did you resolve this? I'm having the same issues with a couple of 40' Cisco LCDs.

Sorry have not found a fix yet.

Hi. Have a similar problem with my DMPs (model 4400G).

I have Cisco LCD 110 PRO 52S and LCD 100 PRO 40N.

DMM shows incorrect status info from 52S panels.
